226 x 174mm. A view looking down from a hillside on to Rose's orchards and estate buildings with Roseau and the sea in the background. Rose and Co. was established in Dominica in the 1860s by Laughlan Rose, a merchant from Leith, who apart from supplying limes to British ships, pioneered their use in soft drinks. In 1875 he set up the first factory in Dominica for the extraction of lime juice.
