Two prints, measuring 233 x 173 mm. When joined, they form a panoramic view of the old city walls from the harbour, with sailing ships moored at the wharf on the left hand side, and the ruins of St Katherine's Church visible beyond the walls on the right hand print.

Scope and Contents Quarter-plate (landscape format). This was about 35 miles long, bringing water to Salamis from Cythera in the nothern range of hills. Note Church of St. Barnabas in distance, near which is said to have been found the body of St. Barnabas, buried clasping the M.S.S. of one of the gospels. This relic, being taken to Constantinople at the time by the archbishop, obtained the independence of the Church and various privileges from the Emperor Zeno. The caption on the reverse of the photograph reads: 'Peristerona Church of St. Barnabas and St. Hilarion, one of the most picturesque Byzantine (AD 956) buildings in Cyprus. The minaret next to it reveals the peaceful co-existence of the Greeks and Turks in Cyprus.'
