The majority of the photographs are stuck in the albums, but there are also 69 loose ones. Many of these are Redwood's own enlargements from his smaller photographs, and have been removed from passe-partout framing and, in most cases, inserted in the album containing the smaller versions. Raynor Arthur was transferred from Nigeria to Cyprus as an administrative officer in 1937; he was appointed Commissioner in 1947 and Chief Commissioner in 1948.
