Collection of miscellaneous monochrome postcards of scenes in German East Africa (now Tanzania). The cards are issued by Walther Dobbertin, Dar es Salaam and Tanga (76-79, 81-87), C. Vicenti, Dar es Salaam (88, 90), The Standard P. and P. Works, Nairobi and Mombasa (91), the remainder unknown.

Hardly any of the photographs are captioned, but there are some cuttings from the Zanzibar Gazette inserted and from these and from the Gazette itself it has been possible to identify a large number of the subjects with reasonable certainty. Some photographs are by A.C. Gomes and J.B. Coutinho; others are possibly by Rogers himself.
