1-16 and 92 relate to Egypt and the Sudan, 17-47 to Uganda, including the Owen Falls Dam, built 1949-1952, and the remainder probably of Saudi Arabia.

The images relate to sporting, theatrical, social and military events. In addition to British India, there are 5 photographs of Egypt (16-20) and 4 of Malta (21-24).

An album of albumen prints. This collection contains a series of views of destruction caused by the bombardment of the city on 11 July 1882 when the English fleet attempted to destroy Arabi Pasha's nationalist forces. The photographs are captioned in French on the photographs themselves.
