1-16 and 92 relate to Egypt and the Sudan, 17-47 to Uganda, including the Owen Falls Dam, built 1949-1952, and the remainder probably of Saudi Arabia.

Scope and Contents Contains albumen and collodio-chloride prints, with dates written under in three groups. 19 relate to a visit to Ceylon via the Suez Canal and Aden 1890-1891 (1-18, 24) and all appear to be professional photographs. It is not known whether these relate to a journey undertaken by Douglas, who was 16 at the time.
