Old Houses in the Bazaar Hatta, Lahore, 1908-02 - 1908-03
Quarter-plate. These houses all belong to Hindoo Merchants, the upper floors being used as resting places. The merchant comes here about 7 in the morning and will not leave until about 10 at night. His home is in a different part of the city, but he entertains here friends whom he does not wish to take to his private house. (Fisher).
