Its creator is unknown, but he is likely to have been a British soldier, probably of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Norfolk Regiment, identified by the uniforms and insignia of the colour party which appears in Y302M/188. He may have been a member of the battalion’s drum corps and band, since there are several images of its members. Those photographs which are dated cover the period 1927 to 1935. ...

The collection originally consisted of a heavy, custom-made wooden box containing large leather bound albums, each stamped in gold 'India 1872'. The photographs came from the firm of Bourne and Shepherd and this collection was put together by Marion and Co. Content Description

A collection of photographic slides and prints taken by the architect Wilfred Court (1929-2011) documenting his work and travels in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ghana and Nigeria from the 1950s to 1968, as well as documenting return visits to India and Ghana later in his life. The slides and photographs have been catalogued following a listing provided by Court, and his own system of numbering and labelling has been maintained.
