The file includes correspondence between Clayton and Hugh Bryson, much concerning the publication of Clayton's stories in 'Malaya', of which Bryson was an editor. It also contains other material relating to Clayton's career, including comments upon the Duff Development Case and the Terengganu Rising (circa 110 sheets).

Farewell to J.D. Gimlette, Kelantan, circa 1916, 1915
264 x 233 mm (mounted on card). A group photograph of European officials, medical staff and orderlies gathered to say farewell to J.D. Gimlette. Other identified figures in the group are Mr and Mrs William Langham-Carter. The precise date of Gimlettes departure has not been determined, but this photograph must have been taken prior to August 1915, when Langham-Carter departed on furlough. Dr L.H. Taylor who took over from Gimlette, is seated at the left of the group.
