This is a large file containing notes, correspondence, articles, news cuttings and other material collected by Captain T. M. Winsey during the writing of his 'A history of the Singapore Volunteer Corps, 1854-1937' (Singapore, 1938).

5 photographs, 88 x 105 mm., pasted onto one sheet. The caption reads 'These photographs were taken a long time after the war. 1 shows St. David's Church (understood to be demolished in late 1945 or early 1946, ref. Ministry of Defence). The four lower pictures were drawings done in black and white on asbestos sheeting and formed a reredos in St. David's Church. They were done by a P.O.W. before the civilians were put in Sime Road'. The photographer is unknown.
