203 x 142 mm. A view looking towards No. 2 Pier where an unidentified steamer (No. 65) is offloading sacks of provisions. In the foreground a group of soldiers watches the proceedings while in the background more shipping can be seen at anchor in the crowded harbour. No. 2 Pier was the most easterly of the landing stages on Quarantine Island and formed the main terminus of the Suakin-Otao railway.
