'British enterprise in the West Indies and British Honduras', 85 pages, apparently compiled from various official publications, with several original sketch maps. The document is neatly written and arranged, and is dated and signed 'J.N. Cooper, June 1884'. It may be a paper prepared for an activity of the Royal Colonial Institute. There are some accompanying press cuttings on the West Indies colonies.

Rogers, Minister of Labour. Introducing Mr. Rogers is the British Honduras First Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. G.C. Price.

A printed poster of the Provost Marshal's sales, June Grand Court, 11 June 1827, advertising the sale of enslaved persons at the Court House on 25 June 1827. The poster gives the names of the owners and enslaved persons and the cost price, although some of these details have been cut out and removed. On the back of the poster are manuscript details of the sale of an slaved person at the June Great Court, dated July 1827.

The formatting and content of each page have been reproduced as faithfully as possible to the original manuscript, and every effort was made to retain its style of presentation. The illustrated cover, however, was not part of the original manuscript. The scope of Burn’s history is set out in the table of contents:I....

A guard of honour stands in the square surrounded by crowds as the Union Jack is raised. On a platform erected at the rear of the Court House stands the Governor, Sir Eric John Eagles Swayne (1863-1929, Governor of British Honduras 1906-13) with other dignitaries.
