In 1900, as a dispenser, he was one of the small garrison including Governor Hodgson beleaguered in Kumasi Fort.’ Frederick Victor Nanka-Bruce was a physician, politician and planter (1878-1953). Taken at the opening session of a new Legislative Council.

120 x 180 mm. Joseph Kwame Kyeretwie Boakye Danquah (1895-1965), lawyer and nationalist, was one of the founders of the United Gold Coast Convention in 1947, but later opposed Nkrumah. He died in prison.
