Contains slides including a group of seven interiors of Marnham's house taken in August 1968, three showing servants in February 1968 and one of the visit of the Mayor for the celebration of the Queen's birthday on 20 April 1968. The majority show the garden, from scenes in April 1967 to seven transparencies making up a panorama taken on the eve of departure in March 1970. In between these are extensive views both of individual clumps of flowers and more general scenes.

'A poor photo of Messr Gleghorn, Harris and Stephen's Drapery Establishment situated in the Market Square. It was taken during the Jubilee, which accounts for the decorations. It was here that Em used to be Head Book-keeper for the Retail Dept. The church on the left, a little way up the hill, is that of St. Augustine's, Roman Catholic.'

The pass requests that Captain Stuart Upperton be allowed to travel through the Boer lines to deliver 'a communication from his Excellency Lord Kitchener of Khartoum' to the Boer commander, John Abraham Potgieter. The pass is signed by Colonel F.A. Adam, who commanded the troops at Vryheid.
