Barrington's Mountain Pass, 1888
190 x 126 mm. Showing a wagon and a span of oxen descending a narrow steep mountain road surrounded by dense woodland. This is probably the Homtini Pass on the Upper Road to George the building of which was largely due to the determination of Henry Barrington (1808-1882) a farmer and landowner near Knysna.

The first four images were taken at Bethlehem in the Orange Free State and the nearby Golden Gate Game Park, probably en route to Johannesburg where the photographs noted in Marnham V were taken. There are four scenes in Natal National Park in August 1968 and two of the construction of the Orange River Dam 1969.
