An album with the following annotation by McKay: 'As my stay in Cochin lengthens I use my camera less and less, but in nine months I manage to fill yet another album. This one sees the introduction of Scouting snaps, as I make my bow as a Scout again, after several crowded years. As will be seen I have continued my wanderings over much of Southern India, and renewed acquaintanceship with many old friends'.

It also deals with the peregrinations of a banker - Calicut, Alleppey, Trichur, Alwaye, Mundakayam, Peermade and other places. Above all it tells of happy days and of good companions'.

College in Kaiser Bagh Lucknow, 1880 - 1889
277x203mm. View looking along the garden with its ornamental pool towards the buildings of the Canning College, situated within the grounds of the Kaiser Bagh. The college was founded in 1864 for the education of sons of the nobility, and the buildings erected between 1867 and 1878. The college later became the University of Lucknow.
