Contains 32 prints approximately 300 x 235 mm (mounted on card) with captions and bound in a blue leather album. 'MRI Ajmer, Rajputana 1911' is on the front cover; it was presumably a presentation volume.

240 x 150 mm. The Baradari is in the centre; the square is surrounded by the town houses of taluqdars, or estate holders of Oudh.

222 x 180 mm. Completed in 1850, this was the palace of Wajid Ali Shah, King of Oudh from 1847 until exiled by the British in 1856. Little of it survives, (p. 273).

The Kashmir Gate, 1860 - 1869
295 x 237 mm. View showing the N facade (exterior) of the Kashmir Gate with the dome of Skinner's Church in the background. The view looks along the moat and shows the bullet and shell damage which this gateway to the city sustained during the Indian Mutiny. The double arched gateway formed the N entrance to the city and was one of the points of entry when British forces occupied the city in 1857. Bourne no. 1357.

An album, labelled on the spine, containing prints of various sizes. The numbering is sequenced from 1 to 131, but 101 is omitted. 14 of these prints are loose (118-131) , and are kept in a separate envelope in the album. Some of the prints are good quality professional work. Some of the photographs are captioned in ink; in other cases the titles have been derived from duplicate copies in Davies' other Indian album or from other photographs of the same scenes.
