Jamaica Victoria Market, Kingston, 1880 - 1889
213 x 131 mm. A view looking over a busy market place. There are no fixed stalls, instead people are either trading from the back of horse-drawn carts or from woven baskets on the ground. A number of horses and donkeys are tied up around the edge of the marketplace. The majority of people appear to be trading fruit and vegetables including bananas.

'Jamaican ants'
A book recording facts and observations about Jamaican ant species. It also includes two imaginative stories, perhaps intended for children, to explain their behaviour. It is illustrated by pen and ink sketches and water colours (50 pages).

Jamaica’s Independence Signed in London, 1962-02
152 x 206 mm. Mr. Reginald Maudling, the Colonial Secretary, and Mr. Norman Manley, Prime Minister of Jamaica, sign the agreement at Lancaster House, London, giving Jamaica independence on August 6 this year. The agreement was also signed by Sir Alexander Bustamante, Leader of the Opposition. The signing brought to an end the Jamaican constitutional conference.
