Canadian Provinces, 1934 - 1935
When the RES Headquarters was rebuilt in 1934-36, gifts of timber for panelling and furnishing were obtained from Empire Governments, companies and individuals. Many were destroyed during the bombing of 1941 and replacement gifts were received. This file coordinates pre and post-war correspondence.

Contains slides all in Kodachrome mounts. Only a few of these show St Vincent itself; the majority are of the Grenadines including several of Mustique. Slides have been renumbered but arrangement in the file remains as per the original typescript catalogue.
Cantilever Bridge across the Fraser River near Lytton, 1885
245 x 192 mm. A view looking down on the steel cantilever bridge supported on stone piles which crosses the Fraser near Lytton. On the far side of the river the track enters a tunnel. The first bridge of its kind in North America, it was designed by the New Yorker C.C. Schneider.

Capt. Mann, 1912 - 1913
88 x 86 mm. Showing Bell's A.D.C. Captain Mann standing on the verandah of a bungalow and holding a large crab in his right hand. By August 1913 Mann had returned to England to rejoin his regiment.

Captain Hall, Mrs Popham - Lobb, Captain Dene, 1908 - 1909
138 x 88 mm. Showing these three people seated on the deck of HMS 'Cornwall'. Captain Hall was the commanding officer of HMS 'Cornwall' and later, in the First World War, Director of Military Intelligence. Captain Dene was an army officer stationed in Bermuda with the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.
