An album, labelled on the spine, containing prints of various sizes. The numbering is sequenced from 1 to 131, but 101 is omitted. 14 of these prints are loose (118-131) , and are kept in a separate envelope in the album. Some of the prints are good quality professional work. Some of the photographs are captioned in ink; in other cases the titles have been derived from duplicate copies in Davies' other Indian album or from other photographs of the same scenes.

Charles Hay Cameron (1795-1881) was first in Ceylon [Sri Lanka] in 1830, when he acted as commissioner to report on judicial procedures on the land. He later became a coffee planter. Scope and Contents From the File: Contains prints the majority of which are circa 290 x 215 mm., but 4-6, 9-18, 20-27, 51-55, 91-94, and 96-98 are approximately 140 x 100 mm. Nos. 4-27, 51 are scenes of the Royal Visit in November 1905, 19-26 being triumphal arches. The other subjects are the Maharajah and his family (1-3), Lallgarh Palace (28-50), Gujner (52-64), the Old Palace (65-82, 85), Bikaner City (83-84, 891-98 and Bikaner forces (89-90). Contains prints of two main sizes, circa 295 x 210 mm and 137 x 93 mm.,the latter are indicated by (S): other sizes are noted. They are mounted on card and bound into a lavishly decorated album with metal corners, lettered on the front cover Souvenir of Gwalior 1906 and with the inscription 'With most respectful homage from Madhorao Scindia, Gwalior 1906'. The photographs, which include hunting scenes at Singhpur and Raipur and also architectural views, have printed captions.

The photographs are either captioned on the prints or more briefly on the mounts (with the exception of Y3062B/16 which is uncaptioned).The only two identified photographers in the album are both from the Canadian section:1-4, ?10 and 11-14 are signed by Alexander Henderson and 1-2 are also dated '1875'. Henderson (1831-1913) emigrated from Scotland to Montreal in 1855...
