Interior looking the Lion Cave in Elephanta, 1905
Contains prints, of various sizes, mounted in an album bound in red half-leather inscribed on the front cover 'Photographs: Royal Tour in India: Bombay and Indore. Raja Deen Dayal and Sons. State Photographers' and with the Prince of Wales Emblem above. All prints have typed captions.

Half-plate. The four golden characters over the figure of Confucius mean : Among living mortals never has there been one like him. Above this (out of the picture) is another motto also in gold letters on a red ground meaning : Teacher and model for all ages. The tablet in front of the figure of Confucius reads: The shrine of the Perfect Sage and former teacher, Confucius. (Translations are by Sir J.S. Lockhart).
