Nos. 4-27, 51 are scenes of the Royal Visit in November 1905, 19-26 being triumphal arches. The other subjects are the Maharajah and his family (1-3), Lallgarh Palace (28-50), Gujner (52-64), the Old Palace (65-82, 85), Bikaner City (83-84, 891-98 and Bikaner forces (89-90). A former student of Raffles Institution and Hong Kong University, Lim Boh Seng had taken such an active part in anti-Japanese activities that the authorities had considered banishing him. At the Governor's request he formed a Chinese liaison committee for civil defence and this committee proved to be the only body capable of recruiting labour during the Japanese bombardment of Singapore. Lim Boh Seng escaped...
