This album deals with architectural views (with many close-up details) of buildings in Udaipur, Jaipur, Ajmir, Chitor, Mt Abu, Lahore, Amritsar, Delhi, Agra and Fatehpur Sikri.

Dendrocalamus giganteus (giant bamboo), Peradeniya Gardens, 1889
276 x 210 mm. Showing a large clump of giant bamboos growing on the bank of the Mahaweli Ganga in the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. The largest of the bamboo family and attaining a height of 100-120 feet, this species is a native of Burma and was introduced into the gardens in 1858. This photograph is dated 1889 on the reverse.

281x217mm. View looking N. along Council House Street, showing the E. facade of the Department of Commerce and Industry built on the site of the old Foreign Office. A two storey brick building with a terrace roof, the Department has an arcade running along the ground storey, with a colonnade of Tuscan columns above. The facade of the building is broken by three pavilions, those at the ends being pedimented. Date of construction unknown, (Massey p.70).

This force, sent at the request of the UN for peace-keeping duties, was 613 strong, comprising a Force Headquarters, three infantry companies of the Royal Malay Regiment, and one reconnaissance squadron of the Federal Reconnaissance Corps.
