It is unclear whether the view looks across the Strait of Johore towards Singapore Island or towards part of the Johore mainland - probably the latter.

The pass lies to the NW of the Hamta Pass, ‘The road, for a few miles further, still kept company with the Chandra river, when presently turning to the right we bid adieu to its muddy waters and crossed the Kunzam Pass, 14,931 ft. elevation. There was now no snow on this pass, and at the top we found some grassy tableland and several...
