Burying ground all round the hill. This was used as a powder magazine, but 2 years ago the officer in charge and nine men were blown up with the whole magazine: the explosion destroyed hundreds of houses; those shown in this view have been rebuilt.

In the middle distance at the right is the tower of the Cathedral (see Y3022A/5).
