Scope and Contents Collection of loose prints, most measuring approximately 275 x 205 mm., with brief pencilled captions on the reverse. The captions have been used as titles and have been recorded as found. Numbers 1-5 are platinum prints, distinguishable from silver prints by the delicacy and softness of tonal gradation. This fine process, substituting platinum for silver compounds as the light reactive substance in the paper, died out at around the time of the Great War due to the increase in the price...

The prints are good compositions, though some are rather dark, and were listed by Erica Ryan of the National Library of Australia, using, among other sources, the captioned envelopes in which the original negatives had been stored.
