A series of photographs showing Queen Elizabeth's visit to Bermuda in November 1953. The crowded programme of this visit, which began at 10 am on 24 November and ended at 6 am the following morning, is fully described and illustrated in a special issue of The Bermudian (January 1954). This is the main source of the identification of the photographs, which were not previously captioned. Unless otherwise stated, they are 255 x 200 mm prints.

The caption on the reverse of the print reads: 'The arrival: The royal couple alight from British Overseas Airways 'Canopus' and are greeted by his Excellency the Governor, Lieutenant General Sir Alexander Hood.
