The year of this review has not been established, but the Governor is General Sir Robert Biddulph who occupied the position from 1893-1900. The Spanish Governor is possibly Señor Dom Tomas Bouza Cebreiro.

This album contains 189 photographs, mostly small snapshots, relating to Mesopotamia in 1916, a visit to Malta on the way to India in 1917, and scenes in India during the First World War and after. Douglas retired to France in 1922 and a number of images relate to this period. Many of the Indian photographs show family and friends.
