In 1929 Frome’s surviving daughter, Mrs Frank Wynne, presented some of the South Australian drawings to the Royal Empire Society through the good offices of Sir Harry Wilson, to whom she bequeathed the rest of the collection. Pretty joined the Malayan Civil Service in 1914 and was British Resident in Brunei from 1948-1951. After retirement he was Agent in the U.K. for the Government of Brunei from 1957 until death.
