The volume includes a parliamentary paper titled 'A Return for a List of Papers relative to the Great Clock for the New Palace at Westminster', dated 24 June 1847, and pages from the 'Proceedings of the Institute of Civil Engineers' on Wheatstone's 'telegraph clock'.
