Registrary's printed pamphlet collection, 1642 - 1890

Scope and Contents

The printed pamphlet collection was begun in the early nineteeth century by William Hustler, Registrary 1816-32, and continued by his successors Joseph Romilly, Registrary 1832-62, Henry Richard Luard, Registrary 1862-91 and John Willis Clark, Registrary 1891-1910. The pamphlets cover a wide range of subjects such as educational reform, foreign education, university and parliamentary elections, religion, politics, academic exercises, local history, the University Library.

Conditions Governing Access: From the Management Group: The University Archives are generally freely available to the holder of a reader's ticket for the Department of Archives and Modern Manuscripts, Cambridge University Library, West Road, Cambridge CB3 9DR.
