Scope and Contents The Cambridge Greek and Latin Book Club was an association under whose auspices members of the Faculty of Classics 'put in' titles of new books which were then circulated. Periodically bids for books would be made at an 'auction' amongst the members, in order to sustain club funds. Joyce Reynolds became secretary of the Club in 1985, taking over from James Diggle. The list of 'Foundation Members' of the Philosophy of Science Group is relevant because it was conjoined to the British Society for the History of Science; the letterhead of the Honorary Secretary, Dr A. C. Crombie, was University College London. The two entities (the Philosophy of Science Group and the British Society for the History of Science) seem to have been intertwined.
