An unpublished collection of typescript prose and poetry fragments, 162 pages, described by the author in a letter to the R.C.S. Librarian, 26 September 1996: 'This resulted out of a year spent in Cambridge in 1979-80 and the literary effort trying to mend the split in my mind between Cambridge and Nova Scotia/Canada'.

A collection of loose prints of various sizes, printed reproductions and other ephemera relating to the uniforms of overseas military units. The prints are by various photographers. The file also includes a photocopy copy of Tylden's Royal Commonwealth Society Library Talk - 'The history of the overseas armed forces' (10 April 1960).

Asphalt Lakes, Trinidad
A collection of photographs mounted on card, measuring approximately 205 x 155 mm., with brief typed captions pasted to the mounts. The collection shows stages in the extraction, transportation and refining of pitch from the asphalt lake at La Brea, in the south-west corner of the Island. Raleigh used the pitch from this lake to caulk his ships as early as 1585, declaring it to be the best he had ever used.

'British enterprise in the West Indies'
'British enterprise in the West Indies and British Honduras', 85 pages, apparently compiled from various official publications, with several original sketch maps. The document is neatly written and arranged, and is dated and signed 'J.N. Cooper, June 1884'. It may be a paper prepared for an activity of the Royal Colonial Institute. There are some accompanying press cuttings on the West Indies colonies.

They appear to have been compiled by Frederick Hardyman Parker, probably as research for a projected history of British Honduras. Some were likely collected by his father, William Alexander Parker, Chief Justice of British Honduras.
