Chemical Observations and Related Notes
A series of descriptions of, and observations on, various chemical experiments, fos 1-67, with an index at fos 77v-79r. This is followed by medical recipes written in another hand, fos 68-76 and 84v, the last of which is dated 1706. On fo. 1 in the second hand is 'John Fry / Wooburne / Beddfordshire', and opposite in the same hand 'Hic Liber est meus'. Most of the versos are blank. Loose in the book are accounts on a slip of paper dated 6 April [17]74.

Obits for 1289-1507 from the 'Nomina Monachorum' register of Christ Church, Canterbury, transcribed by W.G. Searle, 129 folios. Attached to fo. 64 is a letter from J.M. Cowper to Searle, 2 May 1901. Fos 1-19 and 64-129 are blank, apart from a few pencilled entries.

Christopher Hassall: Correspondence and papers
Hassall died intestate. His working papers were taken to the Royal Society of Literature by his assistant Gillian Paterson, who arranged and (presumably) listed them. They were bought by CUL from Bloomsbury Book Auctions in 1992. They were housed in paper box files 1 25 and cartons A D, as listed. They have now been re boxed, in 28 boxes and one packet, which has involved some reorganisation of the material and hence some rearrangement and re numbering of the original list.
