An album containing photographs showing aspects of European trade in the West African coast.
The photographs occupy 28 pages of an album; plates 21-27, 30-31 and 32-34 each occupy one page. There are a number of blank pages at the back. Most of the prints have brief captions, which have been used as titles and have been recorded as found. They are not always reliable: see, e.g., plates 10 and 15.
West Indian documents
Loose papers and one newspaper from Patrick and his son James Colquhoun's correspondence files. RCMS 263/1-9 have a cover headed 'Nevis 1820' and RCMS 263/11-31 are in a similar cover '1832 West Indies'. Each has a note of contents, but these do not tally exactly with the items now present.

English translation of letter originally written between 1564 and 1572. The original cover appears to have been directed to Daniel Wigmore (d. 1646).
Whaling in Falkland Islands Dependencies
Three postcards and two prints, probably collected as part of the Colonial Office Visual Instruction Committee material (see introduction to Fisher Collection). The photographs are captioned on the backs.
White Kennett: materials collected for his anonymously published Complete History of England
Much of the material concerns James I, the English Civil War and its aftermath. The transcripts were made from the collections of John Nalson LLD, d. 1686, when in the possession of Phillip Williams, Rector of Doddington, Cambs., d. 1719. The classmarks of the originals often appear at the head of the transcripts.

Wilfrid Bennett Lewis: Undergraduate Lecture Notebooks
The collection consists of the twenty-three notebooks Lewis left in the care of his brother Mr J A Lewis when he emigrated to Canada in 1946. The notebooks contain chiefly lecture notes and practical work for Lewis's undergraduate degree courses at Cambridge 1927-30. Notebook 1 contains physics notes which predate his university career and notebook 22 contains postgraduate work. Lectures by G F C Searle are identified in notebooks 11 and 12.
