Scope and Contents 1206 x 221 mm. A panoramic view composed of 5 joined prints, cloth-backed. The panorama shows a view looking towards the south part of the town from the New Mole. At the right of the photograph ships and hulks are moored at the dockyard with the town beyond. Among the prominent buildings identifiable are the South Barracks behind the town, the Barrack Chapel directly in front, and the Station Hospital on the skyline at the right of the picture. 215 x 105 mm. In the centre are the Ven. G.H. Warde, Dean of Gibraltar 1928-1933, the Rt. Rev. F.C. Nugent Hicks, Bishop of Gibraltar 1927-1933, and Canon Richard Shiers-Mason, Chaplain to Seamen. Around are members of the choir.

Malta, the Holy Land, etc

Scope and Contents

A collection of albumen prints which include views of the Middle East, Malta and Gibraltar by Robertson, Beato and others. The majority are of European works of arts and townscapes (many of the latter unidentified). There are also scenes at Woolwich. Plates 68-80 are uncaptioned and consist of miscellaneous engravings of weaponry, armour and archaeological sites.
