Part 1, 1978-79: includes briefing notes for MT by 'Adam [Adam Butler MP]' and Ian Gow MP (her successive Parliamentary Private Secretaries), Sir Geoffrey Howe MP, David Howell MP and by the Conservative Research Department (including paper from Adam Ridley); correspondence with Peter Mills MP and Robert Jackson; and a record of a meeting on the "European Monetary System" (not attended by MT but including Lord (Peter) Thorneycroft, Adam Ridley and Alan Howarth) held at Lloyds Bank, Lombard Street, London, 23 October 1978
