Scope and Contents
Correspondence with the Churchills, on articles by ELS about Churchill, and with Martin Gilbert on his biography of Churchill. Includes letters from Winston Churchill (1915) on attaching ELS to a brigade, his own liking for going into the trenches and support from Major-General 10th Lord Cavan on their ideas about armour, and (1916) on ELS's brilliant service, Churchill's relief that ELS had survived, his intention of trying to help his career, and his hopeful view of the Dardanelles Commission.
