Papers from CS's trade negotiations in the United States, February 1973, including: press cuttings; summaries and reports of talks; briefing notes; itineraries and travel arrangements with lists of persons to be met and consulted; correspondence with 3rd Lord Cromer, British Ambassador to the United States and former Governor of the Bank of England [earlier Lord Errington] on monetary reform, the need for a European monetary system, what the United States wanted out of the forthcoming GATT [General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade] negotiations and general advice for the talks.
