Scope and Contents
Letters to AHP from friends and acquaintances. Subjects and people include: Richard Harding Davis, Harper & Brothers Editorial Board, on AHP's shooting expeditions and liaising with AHP and Lady Henry Somerset over photographs of British celebrities and reports for US newspapers (6); Francis Jerrard, of the Strand Theatre; Viscount Morpeth [later Charles Howard, 10th Earl of Carlisle]; Lloyd C. Griscom, from the Embassy of the United States in London, with a letter of introduction for AHP to Clement A. Griscom; Mary S. Chamberlain; Charles Dana Gibson; and various correspondence concerning invitations and social occasions. With Anthony Pollen's annotations and notes on the letters, including some later transcriptions of AHP's correspondence.

Conditions Governing Access
With the exception of the correspondence between Anthony Pollen and Jon Sumida, which remains closed until 2029, the collection is open for consultation by researchers using Churchill Archives Centre, Churchill College, Cambridge.
