Correspondence between AHP and his family, friends, and professional contacts in the Royal Navy and in journalism, dating from AHP's school days to the end of his life. The files of general correspondence in this series arrived in both Accession 1847 and Accession 1981, and were arranged together as far as possible into chronological order. Also including some later correspondence with Louis Jebb relating to the provenance of a Leonardo da Vinci drawing once in AHP's collection.
