Notes, papers and correspondence on the State Funeral of Sir Winston Churchill, with correspondents including: Anthony Montague Browne [former Private Secretary to Churchill], also writing on how much of "A History of the English Speaking Peoples" was written by Churchill himself (3); 2nd Lord Montgomery of Alamein on references to the funeral in his father's diaries; Winston Churchill; Sir David Floyd Ewin, Registrar of St Paul’s Cathedral.
Also includes: copies of press cuttings, particularly reporting the speech by Sir Robert Menzies from the crypt of St Paul's; notes of a conversation with Rodney Dennys, Somerset Herald of Arms, on arrangements for the funeral; a copy of the order of service; commemorative issues of the Listener and the Sunday Telegraph Memorial Supplement.
