Arrangement
The majority of source material in this series (up to 5/1/270) came from a storage facility near MS's home. It is clear that this material relates to the original 1979 edition, so it has been listed ahead of a smaller amount of source material (from 5/1/271 onwards) which was kept in MS's home, and probably re-used for the 2002 revised edition and possibly also used for MS's own later memoirs, "A Daughter's Tale" .
Existence and Location of Originals
In many cases, original letters used by MS as source material were put into her mother's papers, GBR 0014 CSCT in 1983, after the book was published. Some (but not all) were replaced by copies in her own papers.
