Scope and Contents
Correspondence between CSC and Sarah [earlier Sarah Churchill and Sarah Oliver, later Sarah, Lady Audley] on subjects including: Sarah's tour of the United States [in "The Philadelphia Story"]; her nervous state and embarrassment over her income tax problems; her concerns about the General Election; finding a house in London; a brief visit home, May 1950; working in Hollywood, and filming ["Royal Wedding"] with Fred Astaire; the possibility that some personal letters might have been found in furniture sold by Sarah; Antony Beauchamp having screen tests; Sarah's television work and negotiations for a new play.
Also includes: a copy of a letter from Randolph Churchill on contesting Devonport again, following the General Election, and his financial situation; letters between CSC and June Churchill [earlier June Osborne] on June's wish to end her marriage to Randolph; a letter from Antony Beauchamp on their new house in Hollywood.
