Correspondents include: Sir Alan Lascelles [Private Secretary to King George VI] on Winston Churchill's chapter on Richard III in his "History of the English Speaking Peoples"; Queen Elizabeth, thanking CSC for her sympathy [on the death of her father, 14th Lord Strathmore and Kinghorne], and also on the christening of the Duke of Gloucester's son (2); Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, on his son's christening; Princess Mary, Princess Royal, on her son, Lord Lascelles [later 7th Lord Harewood] being wounded and taken prisoner in Italy.
