Family correspondence (mainly copies) between CSC, Winston Churchill and Randolph Churchill, on subjects including: Winston Churchill seeing Randolph in Algiers; tensions between Randolph and Churchill; Randolph's injuries from a plane crash; difficulties in Randolph's marriage to Pamela Churchill [earlier Pamela Digby, later Pamela Hayward and Pamela Harriman]; Charles de Gaulle's rudeness; Churchill's visit to Italy, Aug 1944; Churchill's fears of a massacre in Warsaw [Poland]; Britain's role in Yugoslavia [later Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia]; Churchill's visit to Moscow [Soviet Union]. Also includes letters between CSC, Churchill, Diana Sandys [earlier Diana Churchill and Diana Bailey], Sarah Oliver [earlier Sarah Churchill, later Sarah Beauchamp and Sarah, Lady Audley] and MS on subjects including the second Quebec Conference, MS's birthday, the kindness of John S Churchill ["Jack Churchill"] to Sarah over her divorce, Churchill's journey to Moscow, MS's gun battery. Also includes a copy of a letter from Kathleen Harriman to CSC from Moscow and a poem by Nellie Romilly [earlier Nellie Hozier] on the death of her son Esmond Romilly.
