Scope and Contents

On subjects including his meeting with William Hamilton who was keen to talk to WSC about rearmament; plant for war material construction in the United States from the First World War which could be brought back into service (including Baldwin Locomotive Works, Dunlops and Du Pont); WSC being the "driving force" in the rearmament programme; and encouraging WSC to see Hamilton.

Custodial History

Each piece of the letter is stamped "The Chartwell Trust" so this letter was originally part of the Chartwell papers which were stamped at the Public Record Office in 1961-1964.
