Letters from Milner to LSA on subjects including: the Compatriots [tariff reform group]; payment for LSA's work; LSA's work on the Times History of the South African War; Milner's concerns about the new South African constitution; the political situation in Australia; LSA's visit to Australia with the Empire Parliamentary Association; the death of George Wyndham; Home Rule for Ulster; LSA's poor chances of gaining a parliamentary seat at Oxford and failure at Wolverhampton [Staffordshire]; Milner's affection for LSA (in writing to AFA); LSA's success in winning the Sparkbrook seat in Birmingham [Warwickshire].
