Biographical / Historical
Correlli Douglas Barnett CBE FRHistS FRSL (29 June 1927 - 10 July 2022) was a military historian and author. He was Keeper of the Archives Centre from 1977-1995, Development Fellow from 1997-2001. He was appointed to a Title D (Pensioner) Fellowship in 1996. Josephine Sykes was Archives Secretary from 1991 to 1996 when, following Bill’s retirement, she transferred to the role of Bursar’s Secretary when Michael Allen was Bursar. She left the College in 1998 to join Alec Broers as his Assistant in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
