Papers concerning the memorial meeting held on 5 March 1977 for Andrew Tindal Phillipson (1910-1977, professorial fellow 1963-77) at which his ashes were scattered around a copper beech tree (fagus sylvatica f. purpurea) donated by his family and planted in the College grounds, at the western end of the mound. Include copies of speeches made at the memorial meeting and a scale drawing of a memorial plaque.
